Have Any Question ?

Yes. Thwalokuhle is a QCTO-accredited Skills Development Provider (SDP) offering SAQA-registered occupational qualifications in Boilermaking, Welding, Mechanical Fitting, and Water & Sanitation Coordination. All programmes align with South Africa’s national skills development framework.

We offer Boilermaker (NQF Level 4), Welder (NQF Level 4), Mechanical Fitter (NQF Level 4), and Water & Sanitation Coordinator (NQF Level 6). Across these qualifications we provide short skills courses, workplace readiness programmes, learnerships, apprenticeships, ARPL, and Work Integrated Learning (WIL).

Short skills courses focus on specific practical skills and usually run for 1–4 weeks. Learnerships combine theory, practical training, and workplace exposure over about 12 months and lead to an occupational qualification. Apprenticeships apply to artisan trades only and lead to a trade test and Red Seal certification over 24–36 months.

ARPL (Artisan Recognition of Prior Learning) is for experienced workers who already have practical trade skills but no formal artisan certificate. It assesses existing competence, provides gap training where required, and prepares candidates for the trade test and Red Seal without repeating a full apprenticeship.

Yes. Boilermaker, Welder, and Mechanical Fitter programmes can lead to a trade test and Red Seal certification through an apprenticeship or ARPL pathway. The Water & Sanitation Coordinator qualification is an occupational qualification and does not lead to a Red Seal.

Tuition fees include accredited training, facilitation, study materials, and basic PPE such as overalls, gloves, goggles, and basic hearing protection. Fees exclude accommodation, transport, meals, medicals, safety boots, specialised PPE, and external trade test fees.

Yes. We offer flexible payment options including upfront payment with a discount, two-part payment plans, monthly instalments, parent or guardian-supported plans, structured ARPL payment plans, and employer-sponsored private funding. All plans require a signed agreement.

No. Learnerships and apprenticeships can be SETA-funded, employer-funded, or privately funded depending on the arrangement. SETA funding is common but not compulsory.

Entry requirements depend on the programme. Short skills courses require no prior qualifications (16 years and older). Learnerships and apprenticeships are subject to qualification requirements and workplace availability. ARPL requires relevant trade experience. Our team assists applicants with the correct pathway.
